A tape cassette (30) includes a generally rectangular box-like cassette case, a roller support hole, and a guide hole (47). The roller support hole and the guide hole are disposed in a first corner portion and a second corner portion of the cassette case respectively, and provided at diagonal positions in a plan view. The guide hole is a groove formed in a side wall of the cassette case. With the guide hole, allowance for the horizontal positioning accuracy of the guide shaft provided in a tape printer to be inserted into the guide hole is made larger. Therefore, when the tape cassette is installed in or removed from a cassette housing portion of the tape printer, a load of the user in positioning the tape cassette may be reduced.
